Please make sure you are mounting this arm to a solid desktop surface that will be able to withstand the combined weight of the stand and monitors. Make sure your desktop is not hollow.
I purchased the quad screen product, needing only the dual screen mount, because I wanted the 27.5″ tall pole clamp. This pole for the quad is ten inches taller than the pole for the dual display mount. I wanted the top of the screens 27 to 29 inches off of the top of the desktop. This product left me with 4″ of pole height above the clamp to spare. That way at 6′7″ tall standing and 4″ 7″ tall in the chair I can maintain good upright posture.
I’d previously had one 24″ screen sitting on top of a docking station monitor stand on top of another monitor stand, and the other monitor was on the desktop, rarely getting used. Now that huge footprint is gone from my desktop, replaced by the 4″ x 4″ footprint of the clamp. I’m delighted that now I can “extend my desktop” on to the second screen and far extend the usefulness of my PC.
I hope some day they choose to offer the dual (and triple) monitor mounts with the tall pole and clamp (instead of the standard dual at 18″) for us tall people to have good posture without having unneeded parts left in the box. They will sell just pole clamp, if I ever find a need to use the extra set of dual screen arms I have, I’ll buy from them again without hesitation.
I must say, the quality of this product is tops. Every expectation was met. I wish I had noticed the product long ago.
